Who are these Policies for In-Store Sales for?
Our Policies for In-Store Sales is for any New Zealand business that sells products in a physical shop to consumers (as opposed to business-to-business), rather than online. Products can range from make-up or food to designer clothes, jewellery, furniture, sports equipment or building supplies. It is important to inform your customers of their rights relating to refunds or exchanges of products and what you are responsible for if things go wrong with a product they have purchased.
If you also have a website and collect any personal details of your customers, you will need our Website Terms of Use and a Privacy Policy – see our Website Essentials Bundle.
If your products are available for purchase both in-store and from your website, see our Retail Sales Essentials Bundle.
